Firstly, thank you for your interest. We are a Catholic fraternity formed on the pillars of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism. We raise funds for local causes and perform good deeds. It's a great way to meet like-minded people and contribute to your community.
We endeavor to assist with anything required to make our area a more compassionate, safe, and spiritually-healthy place.
Some examples are:
We have various methods including serving as ushers at Delta Bingo, hosting dinner events, breakfasts, renting out our hall, selling lapel roses, raffles, free throw competitions, donations, and more.
As much as you'd like. We always need help running events, but there is no obligation or pressure to donate more time than you are capable or willing to. We have a business meeting once a month that members are encouraged to attend at minimum, but even this is not mandatory.
The life insurance is a perk, not an obligation. Many members choose not to participate due to their personal circumstances. It is a great plan if you are interested.
Absolutely! There are many perks apart from access to the life insurance. You will quite likely make some life-long friends who share your faith. Members may rent our fully stocked hall at extremely reduced rates. You will receive a copy of Columbiana magazine once a month.
In a word: no. Family members are now welcome to attend the degree ceremonies, which are overseen by our council chaplain and illustrate how our pillars of charity, unity, fraternity, and patriotism are congruent with our faith. Business meetings are restricted to the membership.
There is a $30 per year membership fee to help us cover basic operating costs. Arrangements may be made to pay in installments. The state of our finances is reported at each monthly meeting.
